Don’t be sorry
Oh Lupita how I love thee…It has been almost a year and a half since going natural. It has truly been a journey. I have met so many people and learned so much about myself, lets not forget learning how to truly take care of my hair. I recently came across this video clip featuring Oscar winner Lupita Nyongo. Her beauty is undeniable and she is a naturalista! It was only right that I share
Its the end ofbthe week so I caught up on some facebook surfing and came across a post about a new webseries on youtube called “First” by Issa Rae. For those who have seen the classic move Love Jones this has been deemed the modern day version. I saw the first episode and I am ready for episode number 2.
I am all about building my brand. I have an interest in many things and want to be know for being apart of just more than one thing. Like most of my friends I have a day job. During the day I am an HR Assistant for an investment management firm, but outside of work I also have my own virtual assistant business called CMC Virtual Assistance catered to providing virtual office support to those in fashion and entertainment but I am now a merchandiser for Chloe & Isabel, a lifestyle brand which primarily sells beautiful jewelry. I decided to take on this new business venture because I always wanted to have something of my own plus I love jewelry. I am anxiously awaiting my starter kit. I will admit that I am somewhat nervous but that is all apart of the journey.

On days like today I find myself on youtube looking at videos. One of the Youtube channels I casually view is Jermaine Dupri’s youtube channel where he post a lot of videos for his clips “living the life.” These videos bascially are a behind the scenes look at various points of his life. As a famous celebrity he is working with some of today’s more famous celebrities. In this particular clip Jermaine is in the studio with R& B singer Monica. They begin to have a conversation about blended families and how she makes it work (Monica has two children from a previous relationship and currently pregnant with her husband, NBA player Shannon Brown). I found this conversation interesting because I completely relate to Monica’s beliefs and understanding as it relates to being in a relationship. I personally do not feel the need to entertain drama within a relationship. Why argue?
